14 days Kenya Tanzania safari

Day 1. Don’t worry!, we transfer you from airport to hotel
We pick you up at the airport headed to your hotel for check-in as you freshen for a city tour if you arrive in good time.

Day 2. Nairobi – Nakuru
After safari briefing at our offices, depart for Lake Nakuru national park, arriving in good time to your camp, after checking-into your camp, freshen-up and then go for an introductory evening game viewing drive.
Dinner and overnight at LANET MATT FARM (Full Board Accommodation – B, L, D)

Day 3. Nakuru – Naivasha
After breakfast, proceed for a game drive in the Rhino sanctuary, which is home to a colony of  about 25 white and black Rhinos. Predators are also resident in the Park. At 11 am aprox., we leave for Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park.

Once in the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the Park. Cycling into the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a ranger’s post. After a brief stop there, you leave the bike and start a walking safari. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge.

The walking trip or safari takes 2 hours. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is one of the only two Kenyan Parks where climbing, walking and biking are allowed.

Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dik-diks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others.

The park has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer vultures. Over 103 species of birds have been recorded in this park, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles.

Day 4. Naivasha – Masai Mara
Breakfast and then a short boat trip. From the mainland out into Lake Naivasha gives you access to view the unique Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary. There is also possibility to access it by road, passing through the “Horse Riding Complex”.

A wide variety of wildlife, bird life and flora grow quite freely out there  as there are no predators to be found. It is quite easy to see game as e.g. giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras and impalas. It is also a heaven for birds with more than 200 species recorded.

At 11 am aprox. we leave for Masai Mara arriving in good time to your camp, after checking-into your camp, freshen-up and then go for an introductory evening game viewing drive. (aprox. 2 hours).

Dinner and overnight at MANYATTA CAMP or a similar camp

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s arguably the most famous reserve. It’s smooth grass carpeted hills and plains dotted with flat topped acacia trees are full of rich faunal diversity, fulfilling the expectations of any visitor searching the African landscape for the BIG 5.

Located west of the Great Rift Valley, Mara is a natural extension of the Serengeti plains in the neighboring Tanzania. The Mara River, the reserve’s backbone traverses north to south. This course is the natural barrier crossed each year by large migratory heard of wildebeest and zebra which march across the two parks in search of pasture, crossing en route, the crocodile infested Mara River.

Coupled with ever watchful predatory cats in the midst, the annual migration is a risky affair and fraught with peril. Morning and evening game drives through the Mara reserve gives you a chance of spotting a diverse array of wildlife including elephants, giraffe, black rhino, cheetah, gazelle, buffalo, hippo, various other herbivores and bird species.

Day 5. Masai Mara full day
After breakfast, start a new game viewing-drive across the rich savannah grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found here in the Mara.

You will Have Picnic lunches at the Hippo pools in Mara River famous for migration of wildebeest. Proceed with the game on the way back to camp.

Day 6. Mara – Lake Victoria
After breakfast, sun-rise game viewing-drive from (06:30am – 9:30am) to see leopard, cheatas, lions and other cuts hunting. This is the best time to spot the cats family when making a kill for their breakfast/lunch as the sun rises-up. En route, we are crossing all Masai Mara in a continuos game viewing-drive to leave Mara region through Oloololo gate in the oposite side of the Reserve to get  Musoma close to Lake Victoria

Day 7. Lake Victoria – Serengeti
Today, you go to explore one of the African great lake. The largest tropic lake in the world and the second largest fresh water lake by surface area. Named Victoria because of the Queen by the explorer John Hanning Speke. After explore it by boat ride among other activities. Later depart to Serengeti, an extension of Masai Mara on the Tanzanian side. We can see many animals on the way.
Dinner and overnight  at Basic Camp SOLONELA or similar.

Day 8. Serengeti full day
We will explore Serengeti National Park, famous for its annual migration, a healthy stock of wildlife residence particularly the big five It’s Tanzania’s oldest park and a worlds heritage site recently proclaimed the 7th world wonder.

Serengeti offers the most exiting game view of the wild and more natural  animal live in Africa. With a lot of  great herds of buffalo’s, small groups of elephants and giraffes and thousands of elands, Topi, Kongoni, impalas and Grant gazelles. You surely get astonished under the irresistible spectacle of predator versus prey.
Dinner and overnight at Overnight at Basic Camp SOLONELA or similar.

Day 9. Serengeti – Ngorongoro conservation area
At early morning, breakfast and then depart from Serengeti  to Ngorongoro Crater with game drive en route. Renowned for unique views of the high-altitude rain forest surrounding the rim.

Afternoon descend to the crater for game viewing with Lunch in side. This collapsed caldera is 610 meters deep and has a floor 18 km wide. Views from the rim of the crater are spectacular and drink a cold beer in a Lodge on there, it is something you’ll  never forget.

The crater has become a unique conservation area where Lion, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo roam in a perfect safety and natural way.

Day 10. Ngoro Ngoro – Lake Manyara
Distance: 60 km approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
After breakfast depart to Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch and afternoon game drive with astonishing views of this superb scenic Park from top escarpment of the Lake Manyara. Famous for the tree climbing lions.

Lake Manyara is a bird watcher’s paradise. Marvel at the variety of species, spoonbill, teal, pelican, kingfisher, hornbill and cormorant. In the tall trees, forest monkeys leap from branch to branch on the slope of the Great Rift escarpment, elephants stand in the shade of the baobab; and in the acacia woodland lions lie draped along the branches of the umbrella trees.

Day 11. Manyara – Amboseli
After breakfast depart to Amboseli, arriving  for an evening game drive.

Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa.
Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts -lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

Day 12. Amboseli full day
After breakfast at 6,30hrs, proceed for an early morning  game drive. This is considered a great time to view game when the animals are ready for a kill to start the day.

We will enjoy a full day gGame drive with a picnic on the way. Where plains game namely zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and various antelopes can be seen.
You will look out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen specially during last hours in the evening and clear weather  from anywhere in the park or from the Observation hill. The stars are the large herds of Elephants and Hippos that can be seen bathing in the swamp grounds whose waters source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. Hyenas laughing, lions roaring, buffaloes blindly grazing in the fields and other species of wildlife and birds.

Day 13. Amboseli – Nairobi
On this day, you can experience the rich Masai culture for 20 usd per person before you leave for Nairobi,  arriving in good time for shopping around the city.

Day 14. Transfer from hotel to airport
Pick up from your hotel to airport where your Kenya adventure ends
