Itinerary

This is the tour plan for 11 days Masai mara Lake Nakuru Lake Naivasha Amboseli Serengeti Ngorongoro Manyara & Tarangire national park safari . The itinerary can be reversed to start in Tanzania to Kenya

 

DAY 1: NAIROBI/MASAI MARA (L, D)

After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel at 08:00AM. At 09:00hrs, we depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley view point to view the Escarpment. Descend the escarpment and drive to Narok-town where you will stop for lunch. After lunch proceeds to Masai Mara arriving in good time for game drive en-route to your camp. Masai Mara is famous for its black manned lions and yearly migration of wildebeests. Game viewing in the afternoon is guaranteed.

 Dinner and overnight at Enchoro wildlife camp or Similar (Full board Accommodation

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s arguably the most famous reserve. It’s smooth grass carpeted hills and plains dotted with flat topped acacia trees are full of rich faunal diversity, fulfilling the expectations of any visitor searching the African landscape for the BIG 5. Located west of the Great Rift Valley, Mara is a natural extension of the Serengeti plains in the neighboring Tanzania. The Mara River, the reserve’s backbone traverses north to south. This course is the natural barrier crossed each year by large migratory heard of wildebeest and zebra which march across the two parks in search of pasture, crossing en route, the crocodile infested Mara River. Coupled with ever watchful predatory cats in the midst, the annual migration is a risky affair and fraught with peril. Morning and evening game drives through the Mara reserve gives you a chance of spotting a diverse array of wildlife including elephants, giraffe, black rhino, cheetah, gazelle, buffalo, hippo, various other herbivores and bird species.

 

DAY 2: MASAI MARA FULL DAY

Spend a whole day exploring the park searching for Big 5 animals as well as visiting the Mara River. The River is famous for the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras crossing from Masai Mara to Serengeti National park searching for green pasture and water. You will have a picnic lunch served at a hippo pool where you can take photos. Relax and then proceed with an evening game drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Enchoro wildlife (full board accommodations B.L.D).

DAY 3: MASAI MARA-SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Early morning game drive after a small pre-breakfast, this is the best time to spot lions, cheetah, and other groups of cats making a kill for their breakfast to start the day. Back to your camp for a full breakfast and check out. Leave the Mara region with en route game drive to Isbania border to connect to the other side of Serengeti. Lunch is served on the way. Arriving in the evening for check in to your camp. Relax then start with an evening game drive. Back to the camp/lodge for overnight stay at the camp/lodge (full board accommodations).

 DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY

After your breakfast start drive for full day in Serengeti, This Park is just a continuation of Masai mara and the parks shares the same ecosystem. Drive searching for Big 5 animals as well experiencing the undisturbed nature in this famous game park. enjoy game drive at this endless plain as  per Masai Language. Also wildlife like lion, cheetah, Thompson, grant gazelle, zebra, elephant and rhino are seen in this beautiful Serengeti.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER

Early morning game drive after breakfast This is the best time to capture lions, cheetah, and other groups of cats ready for a kill to start the day. Leave the Serengeti plains to Ngorongoro with lunch served on the way. Arrive in your camp/lodge as you check in then start an evening game drive. Get a chance to observe wildlife including lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo, wildebeest, warthog and zebra, and see also lake Magadi, Lerai Forest, and Ngoitokito swamp. Late evening back for dinner and overnight stay at Mto wa mbu or similar (full board accommodations).

DAY 6: MTO WA MBU – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive.

DAY 7: MTO WA MBU – LAKE MANYARA-AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and birdlife. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyaras legendary tree- climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias while the diminutive Kirks dik dik forages in the shade, pairs of klipspringer are often seen silhouetted on the rocks above a field of searing hot springs that streams and bubbles adjacent to the lake shore in the far south of the park. Later Leave for Amboseli. Amboseli National Park is famed for its big game and for its great scenic beauty; elephant, lion and cheetah are the main attractions. There are five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake bed, Lake Amboseli – from which the park takes its name. Habitats range from open plains to stands of fever trees, thick thornbush, swamps, and marshes. All support good wildlife densities. Arriving late in the evening dinner and overnight stay at AA Lodge

DAY 8: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at app 0630hrs, we will proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. This is considered a great time to view game when the animals are ready for a kill to start the day. We will return to the camp for breakfast. Lunch will be followed by a late afternoon game drive at 1630 hours where plains game like zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and various antelopes can be seen.

DAY 9: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – NAIVASHA

We will have an early morning game drive after a pre-breakfast. This is a good time to view Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up on the mountain. It will also be a good time to catch lions, cheetah, and other groups of cats ready for a kill. Back to the camp for full breakfast as you check out then leave Amboseli with an en route game drive. Lunch will be served on the way arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Fisher Man Camp  or similar 

DAY 10: NAIVASHA (HELL’S GATE) – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

On this day, drive to the Hell’s Gate national park famous for its natural geysers, star rock towers and geothermal steam that make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. This park was named for its pair of massive red tinged cliffs framing a geothermic active interior of steam vents and bubbling springs. This is the only park where you can walk or cycle through as you view animals. Later depart for Lake Nakuru, Famously Lake Nakuru attracts vast numbers of fabulously colored pink flamingos to its shallow waters. Hippo, various animals, black rhinos, giraffe, lion, leopards and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. Diner and overnight stay at Golden Palace hotel or similar.

DAY 11: LAKE NAKURU- NAIROBI

 

After breakfast and Morning game drive leave Nakuru for Nairobi arriving in afternoon, Drop you back at place of your stay
